Ms. Christyn has been teaching private, group, and classroom music lessons for 6+ years to ages 3-103…but her journey with music began long before that. Beginning piano lessons at an early age for therapeutic relief, Ms. Christyn found joy, coping skills, and passion through music. With 10 years of competing and performing- often earning the highest scores possible- she went on to be trained in Music Performance at two accredited colleges in the country. Her post-residential college experiences ignited a passion for education that is tailored to the student’s strengths and goals. Her experiences as a k4-10th grade classroom teacher, ABA Behavior Technician, and various youth worship team leadership positions have shaped her teaching style today.

When Ms. Christyn is not teaching, she is likely continuing to pursue her degree in Multi-Studies through Liberty University Online (focuses in Education, Health Sciences, and Crisis Counseling)- she loves to look at the person holistically to serve them the best way possible. She also loves rodeos, running/rock climbing/dancing, and photography…and enjoys recreating her days as a barista creating new coffees!

Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 107:29- ‘He stilled my storm to a whisper, and hushed the waves of my sea.’ Music was the beginning of this becoming a reality in her life, and the way the Lord has used it since is nothing short of a blessing!
